Sign of the Times

First things First

Vin Gogh hosted it's first Sign Painting Class October 7th and we felt the need to share the firsts.

Woot Woot!

The doors started opening in the chilly morning, letting in some fresh autumn air, sunshine and along with those elements, hearty laughter, exuberant and eager sign makers! Soon to be sign makers. The crowd was thick with an energetic buzz and a little bitty bit of fear. Very quickly the group settled into their places, decided on the orientation of their sign, and waited with baited breath for the class to begin.

"Good morning Class" said the Instructor, (ME) the rest of this, I sort of made up in my mind and possibly, is what I may say next time. 🙂

What makes a good Sign maker?

Willingness to Share a message

Willingness to Explore new ideas

Willingness to accept new concepts

Willingness to enjoy a Mimosa, Coffee, Tea and a Muffin. (Chocolate, YUM)

Willingness to roll up their sleeves and get a little Dirty

Willingness to be in Rouge's Bridal Party, there were 6!

No Surprises

As the class kicked into gear, we were an unstoppable force, and activity reigned throughout the space. Everyone seemed to have their vision or partial vision as to what they wanted their message to be and some of the winners of the stencil selections were, I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK, and I LOVE US. Love was definitely in the air. Must have been the Bride to Be, or the Mother and Daughter groups that were scattered throughout.

The true Sign was the Joy emanating from this dedicated group of Creators,  the Sign of this Time was the unlimited expression each participant let in.

Who wouldn't want to be Loved to the Moon and Back, not me.
